- The parties begin already on Wednesday 4th of July at Pieksämäki's market place with Blues Night and continuing through Thursday at Corona Music Bar's blues-evening.
- On Friday Blues Club is the theme of “Acoustic Blues” and on Saturday starts with Terrace Blues,
- continuing with the beach stage’s free Main Concert via Blues Club to an early Sunday morning hours.

History
The Idea of a little blues and rock festival here in Pieksämäki came in spring 1998. So early July, the same year, we saw Pepe Ahlqvist with Jarkka Rissanen, and two local groups: Tap Jelly Blues Band and Lizzy Jones. During the years the festival has grown, and found its current form. There's the free event athe the beach stage starting in the afternoon, with club acts in the evening. In addition to top Finnish artists, several well known foreign musicians have played at the festival. Thanks to its cozy and friendly atmosphere, and high class program, Savonsolmu Beach & Blues Party has found its place on the map of Finnish festivals, and has gained good reputation outside Finland.
